DETAILS
The shirt is a blue short-sleeved model with polo collar of the Napoli 2000/2001 season. The Peroni commercial sponsor is painted white and is surmounted by a thermo-applied company logo. On the right side is the Diadora logo and on the heart side the stitched Napoli crest. On the right sleeve there is the Lega Serie A patch while on the back we find the number 18 in flock and the lettering PECCHIA.
ANECDOTES AND CURIOSITIES
The 2000/2001 season saw the official entry of Giorgio Corbelli who, together with Corrado Ferliano, formed Serie A's first presidential couple. The season, despite Zeman's presence on the bench, was unsuccessful and led to relegation. The Neapolitan presidents cried scandal over the Verona-Parma match that decreed Neapolitan relegation. According to the Neapolitans, the two clubs were controlled by Parma president Tanzi, a fact that was later proven to be true. Fabio Pecchia left excellent memories with the Neapolitan fans, playing five seasons and scoring 21 goals.
